    Animal Farm

The Minack Theatre Acting Academy presents George Orwell's classic play, Animal Farm. Explore themes of power and betrayal in this thought-provoking production, suitable for ages 10+.

by George Orwell adapted by Tatty Hennessy presented by the Minack Theatre Acting Academy "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others." When the animals of Manor Farm rebel against their human oppressor, they dream of a paradise where all animals are equal. But as the pigs seize control, the noble revolution descends into a chilling dictatorship. A visceral exploration of power, propaganda and betrayal. George Orwell’s timeless classic Animal Farm is brought to the stage by the Minack Acting Academy in this award-winning adaptation by Tatty Hennessy. In our world of misinformation, populism and political polarisation, Animal Farm is as relevant today as it was when Orwell first conceived it over 80 years ago. Suitable for 10+. Features themes of violence and animal cruelty/death. Running time: 2hrs 20mins approx. including interval About the Minack Academies: helping young people to develop advanced theatre skills.
